We were tired of typical book clubs & social media, so we made our own

Humble Hive is an online community and social media platform for book lovers, that does things differently.

Exhausted from the requirements of typical book clubs and the overwhelmingly negative, political environment of today’s social media – we decided to start fresh and create a book club/social media platform that’s focused on growth & connection, and leaves you feeling energized, not drained.

OUR MISSION

To make reading more social.

Our mission is to create a community where book lovers can read more, connect with others, spark new friendships, and experience deeper personal growth. Ultimately making the world a better, kinder, more understanding place.

WE BELIEVE IN…

Representation of diverse voices in places where books are discussed.

To be an advocate for greater diversity in literature, we work hard to highlight the voices of Black, Indigenous, & People of Color (BIPOC) authors.

By improving representation of BIPOC authors and books we aim to:

  • Open the door to different conversations, perspectives, and lived experiences,
  • Cultivate connections & deeper understanding between readers from all walks of life,
  • Create a community where people of all color feel welcome,
  • Amplify the voices of, and increase publicity for, BIPOC authors.

With Humble Hive you can read whatever your heart desires – we just make it easier to find diverse voices!

This isn't our first rodeo

Having 5+ years of experience working for Slack and 2+ years coding in Corporate America, we know the ins and outs of building an online platform from the ground up.

We have the technical skills, as well as the endurance and improv skills to endure and adapt to our community’s desires in order to create an app they’ll truly love.
